Fido Fixers Celebrates Their 10th Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic!
October 29, 2025 | 0

We can’t believe it’s been 13 years since we built the first mobile spay and neuter clinic for Fido Fixers. Just this week, they took delivery of their ninth clinic, with the tenth sitting in our facility waiting for pickup.
Fido Fixers was founded by Susan Maounis, Lisa Wysocki and Suzanne Steinberg in 2011 as a unique program to provide mobile spay/neuter services to communities suffering with pet overpopulation.
We spotlighted the program for our blog back in 2013 as the group was building their second clinic.
“[Fido Fixers] realized that to truly help stop overpopulation, they had to start at the source, providing spay and neuter programs to areas with the highest overpopulation rate,” we wrote at the time.
Fido Fixers’ model is that they use private donors to finance their fleet of mobile spay/neuter clinics, and then loan those clinics to qualified non-profit animal welfare groups across the country for only $1/month lease fee. Those non-profits then provide the veterinarians, supplies, and other staff required for day-to-day operations.
“It’s a very unique model,” we explained in our 2013 blog. “One that they hope they can continue to recreate over and over until they have many La Boit-built vehicles operating throughout the United States.”
They had no idea how successful the program would end up being — now with 10 trucks and over 160,000 free and low cost sterilizations performed.
In 2024, Founder and Director, Liza Wysocki, decided to retire from Fido Fixers. She entrusted the organization’s mission to Providence Animal Center (PAC) out of Pennsylvania, to whom she gifted the fleet of vehicles.
“Lisa felt strong about selecting Providence Animal Center to take over,” Fido Fixers wrote on their Facebook page.
“The leadership at PAC is organized, motivated and focused,” Wyzocki added.
