Client Spotlight: Mobile Pet Imaging

Mobile Pet Imaging Capitalizes on the On-Demand Trend in Business to Business Services

In late 2015, Mobile Pet Imaging (MPI) celebrated their one year anniversary. In that year, they’ve logged thousands of miles throughout the Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties in southern Florida, providing free lunch and learn sessions to veterinarians all over the area.

You see, MPI isn’t your typical full-service veterinary clinic on wheels. Instead, they are a highly-focused clinic, bringing robotic high‑definition CT Scans with 3D capabilities and fluoroscopies to veterinary offices, veterinary clinics and hospitals, veterinary specialists, and zoos.

For years, La Boit has been building specialized mobile medical clinics that serve a specific medical purpose, be it mammography, audiology, training, or radiology. It’s only recently, however, that our veterinary clients have begun requesting custom-built clinics that provide specialty services for our non-human friends as well.

Mobile Pet Imaging first began as an idea by Dr. Pedro Armstrong to bring the best CT scan and fluoroscopy technologies to veterinarians’ offices, making it easier for vets, and more accessible for pet owners. It’s a business model that is truly unique. Their state-of-the-art La Boit-built mobile unit brings the CT scans directly to the veterinarian’s office, which allows the veterinarian to immediately offer a premium diagnostic service to their customers, without the large capital investment in equipment.

Over the past five years, there has been a large increase in on-demand services for consumers, from taxi service, to grocery delivery, to medical concierge. The business to business world is finally catching up to that model. With the seemingly unlimited capabilities of specialty vehicles, you can provide much-needed services directly to the business on-location and on-demand.

We at La Boit Speciality Vehicles would like to congratulate Mobile Pet Imaging on a successful first year! So successful, in fact, that MPI is looking to franchise their model to other entrepreneurs.

Best wishes from all of us at La Boit!
