What Makes La Boit Cabinetry So Much Better?

July 18, 2013 | 0

When clients come to tour the La Boit Specialty Vehicles manufacturing facility, they always comment on the attention-to-detail we spend in custom-building the cabinetry for our vehicles. La Boit employs four master craftsman cabinet builders, with a combined 36 years of experience building cabinets for La Boit Specialty Vehicles.

Each cabinet installed in La Boit vehicles is custom-built on-site using materials specifically designed for medical and high-traffic commercial settings. We never install prefabricated cabinetry designed for residential or office use.

First, we start with only the best building materials. Every cabinet, wall, and panel is constructed from Columbia Forest Pure Bond plywood with the formaldehyde-free technology. It is 100% hardwood and made in the USA. No particle board is ever used on anything we build for our vehicles.

Then, for precision and accuracy, all plywood parts are cut out on our CNC router. An edge bander applies a PVC edge to most panels, making edges extremely durable so that they do not crack or chip.

Afterwards, every cabinet is covered inside and out with Formica Brand laminate to make cleaning and disinfecting easier. This is key in medical settings where sterilization is of critical importance.

The hardware we use for drawer slides and door hinges are Grass brand, which carries a limited lifetime warranty. No complicated series of bungee cords needed!

We invite you to La Boit Specialty Vehicles custom-built cabinetry to the other guys. You won’t be disappointed!

About La Boit Specialty Vehicles

La Boit Specialty Vehicles president Gil Blais first started La Boit in his garage in 1981, where he hand-made organizational boxes for traveling veterinarians. Fast forward to today, La Boit Specialty Vehicles is now a leader in specialty vehicle manufacturing for the Veterinary, Spay/Neuter/Adoption, Dental, Medical, Command, and Bloodmobile industries.

La Boit Specialty Vehicles offers a variety of vehicles to suit your needs, from 18ft pull-behind trailers to 40ft drivable coaches, none of which require a CDL to drive. Best of all, our vehicles are commercially-built from the chassis up for your specific needs, and are never converted RVs.
