La Boit Specialty Vehicles Releases New Trailer

mobile veterinary trailerWe recently completed a mobile veterinary trailer for a client in Indiana. We’ll be spotlighting that client in another blog. For now, we’d like to focus specifically on the trailer itself.

This is the first time in many years that La Boit Specialty Vehicles has built a mobile medical or veterinary trailer from the chassis up. This way, we can ensure the construction quality of every single component of the trailer, down to each and every screw. Read the rest of this entry »

2017 Year in Review

2017 was La Boit’s 35th year in business, and let me tell ya, it was a great one! We continued to deliver what some of our customers have affectionately referred to as the “Cadillacs of Specialty Vehicles.” And of course, we did it with the best customer service in the business.

A big part of that is making sure we’re delivering our 35 years of industry-expertise to each and every one of our clients – not only on how to design and lay out their vehicle, but also how to fund it and promote it. One of our most popular articles this year was “Using Grants to Fund Your Specialty Vehicle.” We talked about some of the ways that other La Boit clients have used grant funding in creative ways, either to fund specific initiatives, or by combining grants with other fundraising or financing activities. Using Grants to Help Fund Your Specialty Vehicle

July 14, 2017 | La Boit Specialty Vehicles | Command, Medical, Spay/Neuter/Adoption, Specialty Vehicles General, Veterinary | No Comments

Many types of La Boit Specialty Vehicles are built using grant funds, with the most frequent types being Mobile Spay/Neuter/Adoption Clinics, Mobile Medical Clinics, and Mobile Command Centers.

Grant dollars for medical and command vehicles most often come from the federal or state government, in which the mobile unit will serve a specific public interest that is otherwise not being met, such as medical access in rural communities, or rapid response police communication vehicles in high-density urban areas.

Other times, corporations offer grants to help further their corporate brand and fulfill the mission set out by their corporate foundations. These are most common for La Boit’s humane society clients to purchase spay/neuter and adoption vehicles, but are also commonly used by hospitals and clinics for medical vehicles. For example, retail pet supplier Petco’s 2013 “Extraordinary Gifts” campaign offered a grant which had a minimum of $50k to make capital improvements. A mobile component would have been an ideal candidate. Read the rest of this entry »
