Designing Graphics for Your La Boit Vehicle

6/19/12 - Van graphics are your most important marketing tool
The graphics on the outside of your La Boit Specialty Vehicle are your most impactful marketing tool. While statistics vary, some La Boit clients report that as many as 75% of their new customers come from seeing the graphics on the side of their coach.
Your coach is like a drivable billboard. That's why it is so important to carefully consider what that billboard says. Your van's graphics should be aesthetically pleasing, easy to read, and unforgettable. It should also be different than what your competitors are doing, so that you stick out from the rest.
Things to Consider When Choosing Graphics for Your Custom Coach
- Target Audience: Before you choose your graphics, think about your overall brand and marketing strategy. Who will be your target audience? Retirees? Families? Low-income populations?
- Your Unique Message: Choose a message that will speak to your target audience. For example, if you're a mobile blood donation center that primarily focuses on high school and college campuses, consider imagery and messaging that might indicate that giving blood is both rewarding and "cool."
- Choosing Colors: Choose a color that is different from what your competitors are using. Consider what colors say about you and your brand.
- Match Your Branding: Make sure that your branding stays consistent with all your marketing materials. Your van's graphics should match your website, brochures, business cards, and any other marketing materials. Consistency in your marketing shows legitimacy and helps build trust with potential clients.
How it Works
La Boit Specialty Vehicles has partnered with an exterior graphics company called Applied Graphics Ltd. Included in the cost of the van build is one of three levels of graphics packages depending on the needs of the client. Each package includes graphic design services and logo development as a courtesy to clients. You don't need to have a pre-existing logo in order to start the design process. We'll help you get there.
Or, if your organization or business is large enough to have a marketing agency or an in-house marketing department, you can always provide designs directly to Applied Graphics. They will work with you to provide the necessary specs for the particular coach you are having built.
La Boit Specialty Vehicles wants to make sure that your van is as successful as possible for your organization or business. Don't forget to do a press blitz as soon as you bring your van home. Press release templates can be found on our press page.
Good luck and happy driving!
